FINTEC recruit is seeking an experienced Welding Inspector for our Engineering/Fabrication client in Aberdeenshire. This is a permanent role working for a progressive and growing business. Working Monday to Friday 39 hours per week, regular overtime available plus company pension, health & medical cover & more. Salary negotiable by experience. Working in a busy fast moving workplace environment, carrying out welding and dimensional inspections. Reporting into the QA/QC Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake welding and dimensional inspections to ensure compliance with drawings and welding procedures
- Conduction pre-weld visual fit-up and post-weld inspections
- Identifying re-work or repairs
- Working closely with a small quality team and assist with coordination on non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Maintain accurate records and inspection documentation
Skills and Experience required for the Welding Inspector role:
- Able interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Qualified to CSWIP 3.0 minimum.
- Extensive experience in fabrication and welding (minimum City and Guilds Fabrication and Welding qualification or equivalent).
- Familiarity with all welding processes and structural materials.
- Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods.
