Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
Location- Lochaber, West of Scotland
Salary: Negotiable (Depending on Experience) + Bonus Structure
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our engineering client based in Lochaber, West of Scotland.
- You will be a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer.
- You will be working in conjunction with the Senior Maintenance Engineer
- Plan for effective execution and control of scope, resources, time and budget on major power plant shutdown maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with internal customer to schedule timely shutdown and availability of equipment.
- Create and manage work schedules over duration of maintenance window.
Skills and experience required for the Senior Electrical Engineer role;
- Expertise in High Voltage electrical operations and safety.
- Extensive experience in electrical power distribution, ideally within a Power Station or heavy industrial/manufacturing steel production substation.
Technical Proficiency:
- Ability to interpret and comprehend electrical and engineering drawings.
- Adept understanding of all relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) legislation.
Possess Leadership Skills:
- Proven supervisory experience and staff team line management capabilities.
Continuous Improvement (CI):
- CI experience as a black belt, green belt, or sponsor.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical electrical engineering expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintenance Oversight:
- Oversee maintenance engineers to ensure the integrity and security of the site electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements concerning operational safety and maintenance of site electrical systems.
Project Management:
- Participate in the delivery of major capital and operating expense projects.
- Utilize IPP project procedures to develop and approve technical electrical project scopes.
- Manage electrically biased projects effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in High Voltage electrical operations and safety.
- Previous experience in a Power Station or heavy industrial/manufacturing steel production
- Proficiency in reading electrical and engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of HSE legislation.
- Demonstrated supervisory and staff team line management skills.
- CI experience as a black belt, green belt, or sponsor.
