FINTEC recruit is looking for a Procurement Manager for our engineering manufacturing client based in North Scotland. This role is working Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and early finish on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. Salary is £50,000 to £60,000. There is also an opportunity for a hybrid arrangement with travel expenses paid to and from the office – one week on/off site.
Responsibilities:
- Optimizing the purchasing process, nurturing supplier relationships
- Ensuring cost-effective procurement practices
- Be collaborating with various internal stakeholders to strategize, negotiate contracts, manage inventory, and drive operational excellence.
Skills and experience required for the Procurement Manager role:
- Have substantial experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or procurement.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Have a deep understanding of procurement strategies and ERP systems in the manufacturing sector.
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
- Experience of working in an engineering/manufacturing environment
- CIPS qualified
