Job Title: Pipe Welder /Fabricator

As a Pipe Welder/Fabricator your daily responsibilities will include:
This is a full-time role, 37 hours per week, with rotating shifts every two weeks between days and nights:
- Operating within a Workshop environment and providing support for various on-site tasks.
- Performing manual TIG welding of Cunifer, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminium.
- Contributing to pipe fabrication and welding activities, ensuring they meet industry standards within a MOD Naval Environment.
- Assisting with pipe alignment and fabrication.
- Conducting cutting, prepping, and bevelling activities.
- Working with Pipe Systems like Class 1, 2, and 3 for NDE requirements, using materials such as Carbon, Stainless, and Cunifer.
- Interpreting isometric drawings and systems.
- Maintaining Traceability and Quality standards.
- Handling materials manually.
Opportunity for both Permanent or Contracting .
Dayshift: 07:30 - 17:15
Night shift: 21:45 - 07:30 (47% uplift)
Overtime hours available
Skills and Experience for Pipe Welder/Fabricator role includes:
- Proficiency in first fixing methods, particularly studding.
- Expertise in the installation and maintenance of temporary extract systems.
- Competence in installing care and maintenance, utilizing protective materials and methods.
- Willingness to support other trades' installation requirements when necessary.
- Capability to take a leadership role and provide support for other trades and functions as required.
Qualifications:
- Level 2 or 3 Welding qualification.
- All applicants are required to complete a TIG Weld test before any offers are extended.
