FINTEC recruit is supporting recruitment in seeking a Engineering Sales Team Manager, working for an international business. This is a permanent position with salary up to £65,000 based in South Derbyshire. You will have both sales and team leadership qualities from working within an engineering/rail/ manufacturing work environment. Monday to Thursday Friday 08.00am – Finish time 16.30pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break). 08.00 am – Finish time 1.30 pm (no lunch break)
Responsibilities:
- Be the technical authority for customer projects, ensuring compliance
- Leading the project sales engineering team, delivering technically sound solutions & be cost effective
- Supervising technical proposal development & leading on department management activities, including budgets, resource & staff development
- Engaging and building strong relationships with customers, providing solutions
- Oversee project management functions, ensure adherence to safety, quality, delivery and cost
- Supporting product and system improvements, including pre-studies and validation processes
- Ensuring compliance in line with industry regulations and company policies.
Skills and Experience required for the Engineering Sales Team Manager role
- MSc degree in Engineering (preferably mechanical engineering).
- 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in the rail industry desirable.
- Strong technical knowledge of rail products and project sales engineering.
- Ability to lead and develop teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Excellent communication & negotiation skills to manage customers and internal stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project management, including budgeting and resource planning.
- A customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach.
