We are recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a busy manufacturing site in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident maintenance professional to work as part of an established engineering team, supporting safe and efficient production across the site.
The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Supervisor and will help maintain, repair and improve electrical equipment across the factory, yard and office areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Use and maintain electrical equipment safely and efficiently across the site.
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering colleagues.
- Respond to and repair electrical breakdowns throughout the plant.
- Modify and improve procedures and programmes where required.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.
- Identify and report early signs of equipment failure.
- Keep maintenance documentation up to date, including logbooks, programme additions and changes.
- Support the installation and commissioning of equipment and services.
- Carry out isolation and de-isolation activities in line with permit-to-work procedures.
- Assist with other engineering tasks when required.
- Maintain good engineering and housekeeping standards across all work areas.
- Actively support site safety standards and participate in relevant safety activities
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified to City & Guilds level or above.
- Industrial maintenance experience.
- PLC knowledge, preferably Allen Bradley 5/40 and Siemens Step 5.
- Ability to work unsupervised.
