FINTEC recruit is seeking a Claims Planner for a highly regulated engineering project based in Berkshire.
This can be permanent or contracting, salary details discussed on application.
Initially site based & hybrid option available after initial period onsite. Working closely with the Project Managers and Commercial Team.
Working on mechanical, electrical and instrumentation projects, you will require to have this background with planning experience involved in NEC contracts; delivering complex Engineering, Procurement & Construction projects. You will be a Primavera P6 expert, qualified in Mechanical/Electrical
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with supply chain and the Planning Manager for consistency of processes
- Investigate compensation events for loss of time
- Liaison with supply chains for scrutiny and accuracy of claims
- Application of technical and construction knowledge of challenge loss of time assessment
- Establish accurate programme metrics
- Attend meetings when necessary
Skills and experience required for the Claims Planner role:
- Knowledge of NEC Contracts (NEC 3 & 4),
- Knowledge of various methods of assessing delay and disruption
- Experience in compiling and reviewing impact assessments for the loss of time on construction and engineering projects
- Understand planning and construction processes
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 in an enterprise environment/Primavera P6 expert
- Experience of critical path analysis/late starts early starts/finishes
- Understanding and interpreting float erosion and critical activities
Qualifications
- Qualifications in M&E Engineering / Electrical, project or construction management, or equivalent vocational training and experience is desirable
- Claims management qualifications desirable
- Member of an appropriate professional body (CIArb, ACostE, APM etc.) is desirable but not essential
