FINTEC recruit is seeking a Buyer with proven experience in Mechanical and Electrical procurement on behalf of our client a leading M&E contractor.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile, multi-million-pound construction project based in Bridgwater.
This role offers hybrid working (minimum 3 days on-site)
Salary up to £50k depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Support the Procurement Manager and Senior Buyers in achieving project procurement goals.
- Lead procurement for assigned contracts and tender packages.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with MEP systems and project timelines.
- Maintain and communicate procurement schedules to stakeholders.
- Monitor supplier performance and gather feedback to enhance supply chain decisions.
- Apply M&E knowledge to inform purchasing decisions and support estimating processes.
- Use procurement tools and systems to deliver value and meet project milestones.
Skills and Experience required for the Buyer role:
- Experience in procurement or buying within M&E, building services, or construction.
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction project needs.
- Excellent IT and communication skills for managing documentation and schedules.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills.
