FINTEC recruit is seeking an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer for our engineering client based in Warrington. This is a permanent role, experience in asset integrity able to join a small busy productive team involved in design and implementation of Pipework Vibration Solutions; involved in instrumentation and measurement techniques applied to structural or machinery monitoring applications.
Salary is negotiable by experience and discussed on application. Ideally you will have 3 to 5 years+ experience. Working Monday to Friday flexible start & finish times, 37.5 hours per week, office based.
There will be travel to client premises & time spent away from home, full expenses covered, this includes international travel onshore and offshore. Offshore trips can be 1-2 weeks away from home, varies by requirements. You will undertake an offshore medical and offshore survival course arranged by the company.
Responsibilities:
- Involved in asset integrity monitoring including system design and configuration
- Structural vibration assessments and design and implementation of pipework vibration solutions /assessment work using CAD, FEA and other specialist software
- Process pipework vibration assessment and visiting customer sites, hands on site work
- Liaise with customers to determine project requirements & preparing commercial proposals
- Establish key deliverables, prepare job documentation eg method statement, risk assessment & project specifications
- Data analysis, technical report writing
Skills and experience required for the Asset Integrity Engineer role:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or similar
- Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks) in particularly structural engineering design.
- Proficient in FEA (ANSYS) performing Static, Modal and Harmonic studies.
- Hold a full current UK driving licence
- Knowledge of electrical engineering
- Excellent understanding of vibration and dynamic behaviour of structures and machines.
- Excellent understanding of structural vibration, measurement, assessment and problem solving.
- Good understanding of metal fatigue failure mechanisms.
- Experienced in configuration, installation and use of instrumentation and data logging systems for the measurement of strain, vibration, displacement, pressure, temperature etc.
- Knowledge of Modal Testing and Operating/ Deflection Shape (ODS) Assessments techniques.
- Experienced in data analysis and signal processing and data interpretation.
- Performed Operating Deflection Shape (ODS) Assessments.
- Performed Modal Testing and process piping vibration assessment
- Competent in the installation and configuration of strain gauges.
- Used HBM Glyphworks, MEScope software
- Motion Amplification techniques & online monitoring systems
- Experience of programming of data logging and HMI-PLC systems
